Rowena Patrick is a Senior Vice President, Group Campaign Director for the Ad Council, the national nonprofit that mobilizes the energy and talents of the communications industry to make a measurable impact on the most critical social issues of today. Rowena leads the development, implementation and evaluation of national public service campaigns at the Ad Council, including promoting gun safety, ending the opioid epidemic, and empowering girls in STEM.  Her current roster of clients includes AARP, Brady United Against Gun Violence, and a consortium of leading tech companies including Google, Verizon, and Bloomberg.  

With 20 years of campaign development experience, Rowena has a proven ability in evolving campaign models and working with external partners to drive innovation and bold changes on America’s most pressing needs.

Under her leadership, she led the organization’s first interdisciplinary group to pilot a new, 
team-based structure before implementing it companywide, spearheading the development of new processes, best practices, and reporting streams for the entire organization.

Prior to joining the Ad Council, she held client services roles at FCB and Ogilvy & Mather in New York, developing advertising campaigns for Motorola, Kodak, the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign, and the U.S. 2010 Census. 
She currently serves on the advisory board for NOVA Collective, a Black and women-owned startup that helps companies build a more diverse and inclusive workforce. She is also a founding member of the Ad Council’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council.  

Rowena holds a M.S. in Strategic Communications from Columbia University and a B.S. in Marketing and Information Systems from New York University.

A native of Hong Kong and a long-time New Yorker, she currently resides in Savannah, Georgia.
