Lubbock is home to Texas Tech University (TTU), which has eight satellite campuses located within the “bigness” of the West Texas region: Abilene, Amarillo, El Paso, Fredericksburg, Highland Lakes, Junction, Midland, and Odessa. While you may not be familiar with these towns, you are probably familiar with the problems that face their workforces.

The Hiring Our Heroes Military Spouse Impact Awards recognize and celebrate the many accomplishments of businesses, community leaders, and military spouses as they create strong communities that support and provide economic opportunities for military spouses. The Impact Award categories include the Military Spouse Volunteer Award, Military Spouse Entrepreneur Award, Community Leader Award, and the Military Spouse Impact Award.

America Working Forward

On June 11, U.S. Chamber Foundation launched America Working Forward: Hidden Workforce, a new project exploring employer-led programs that give inmates and ex-offenders training and support as they re-enter the workforce and hosted America Working Forward Live, an event featuring business leaders, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs building pathways for inmates and ex-offenders to join the workforce.
